State of the Union and Polling

Wrapped up the film series on how Hollywood has treated the Presidential campaign process with the Frank Capra directed “State of the Union” starring Tracy, Hepburn, Van Johnson, Angela Lansbury and Adolph Menjou plus some other surprises.  We had a good discussion about what’s changed and not changed in campaigning and everyone agreed that while many things have not changed, social media has played a large part in the evolution of the process.  The Roach’s send me this article on “polling” and I think it’s a very good over view and history of what has become an important or not so important tool of the process.
