Rashomon this Wed too

Another great film of the 1950s is this film by acclaimed director Akira Kirusawa starring a then relatively unknown Tishiro Mifune.  The film won the Gold Lion award at the Venice Film Festival in 1951 and an honorary Oscar in 1952.  We’ll watch a little of it before watching Sunset Boulevard.

After the main feature we’ll watch a special presentation, “The Making of Sunset Boulevard”.
