“Going My Way” today at the Palm Theatre

Winner of 7 Academy awards in 1944, Bing Crosby stars in the Leo McCarey directed film.  I’ve wanted to showcase Bing Crosby for years, ever since I read his biography.  He is clearly the greatest entertainer of the last 100 years.  Films, records, performance, television, radio, entrepreneur, champion golfer and avid horse racing enthusiast.  His life was so big it’s almost incomprehensible.  If for nothing other than “White Christmas” he will always be remembered but there’s so much more and I’ll tell the class about the rest today at the Palm Theatre.
